DAVID Beckham got a hero`s welcome yesterday - 24 hours before he plans to break Man United fans` hearts by dumping his old club out of the Champions League.
The England ace, 34 - now with Italian giants AC Milan - smiled as he signed autographs at the city`s airport.
He is set to be on the bench for tonight`s game at Old Trafford - his first return as an opposition player since he was sold to Real Madrid in 2003.
